About Katelyn Rhoades
Katelyn has over 12 years of experience under her belt, dating back to high school when she began posting her father's RV inventory on Craigslist to make sales.
Since then, she has continued to keep her focus on digital marketing with a background in story-telling and Journalism.
In 2013 she received her Bachelors Degree from the College of Journalism and Communications at University of Florida. While attending UF she was a news anchor and producer for WUFT’s “News in 90” segment and also interned at Gainesville Television Network.
After graduation she decided to focus all of her attention on digital marketing and social media and began her career as a Social Media and Public Relations Manager.
In her third year of working, she had a case study published for successfully growing the social media presence of Avanti Resort in Orlando: Case Study: How Avanti Resort Grew their Facebook Presence 295%
Two years later, Katelyn started a family of her own and took a position closer to home as the Director of Social Media. While there, she started a social media podcast, Trend Talk Radio and a successful real estate marketing blog, Realestation.
Katelyn is well- versed in all things digital marketing and social media. She currently works for a real estate marketing agency where she is responsible for facebook advertising, email marketing, social media strategy and management, landing page optimization, and more.
She has been invited on several occasions to be a key-note-speaker and panelist for Social Media and Digital Marketing seminars around the Orlando area and has taught classes on social media marketing and SEO.
Katelyn also blogs for her own successful parenting blog called The Smother Mother which currently has a combined social media following of 15,000 fans and a 60K per month readership.
