If you’re new to Facebook Ads, setting up your first campaign can seem overwhelming. There are so many different ad elements that you need to get right. You need to make tens of decisions about the ad type, target audience, bidding, ad placements, and much {much} more. So what practices and hacks should you follow when getting started? There's a billion if you ask Google. But for today, I'm going to give you 3 quick hacks that I've found helpful. 1. Target the Right Audience Are you looking to target current customers? If so, you'll want to create a custom audience using the email addresses from your CRM. Are you wanting to target new customers? You'll want to use Facebook's targeting options to choose your ideal customer. (i.e age, gender, interests) 2. Optimize Ads at the Right Time Page managers sometimes panic when ads run but no results are provided within the first 24 hours. They forget that the data they have on hand is not perfect and most of the stats are incomplete because the ads haven't reached a large enough audience. As a rule of thumb, I usually wait for my ads to reach about 1,500 people before I consider any changes. 3. Don’t Turn Off Entire Ad Sets Don't rush to turn off an entire ad set when it doesn't seem to be working. You might leave precious traffic & revenue on the table. Tweak your ads first, then reassess from there. Need help setting up Facebook ads for your business? Contact me today.
