Here are 7 Ways to Rank Higher on Google & Other Search Engines..
With today's advancements in technology, it's a wonder how our mom and dads even made it through high school, college, or life in general. Google is something I use every single day whether I am looking up a recipe or checking the weather.
Along with this, I am constantly learning ways to get my posts to rank higher on Google. If you are business owner (big or small) you should definitely be aware of your ranking on Google and consider using these tips to increase your SEO rankings . Here are 7 ways to rank higher on search engines 1.) Content is key. Online marketers need to be aware of what they are posting and make it a point to mix it up. Your content needs to grab your audience's attention and keep it. Varying your post between visual-based content, text-based content, and audio-based content is going to be your best bet, and to top it with a cherry- use a combination. I prefer to use text and visual marketing, but audio marketing is always fun too! Post a video, Share a picture, ask an open-ended question. Creating a mix of content will ensure your posts are reached to your targeted potential customers ! Check out this content calendar for ideas! 2.) Use Google+ In 2013, MozSurveys (which is a free survey company) revealed a strong correlation between Google +1 "likes" for a web page and that pages search engine rankings. Sharing content on Google+ (and receiving Google +1 endorsements from other users) will prove definite SEO advantages. Google uses Google+ to discover new content, and Google tends to index anything shared on Google+ quickly. Additionally, Google+ posts are much easier for Google to index than some content on Facebook and Twitter. 3.) Credibility is essential to SEO. Always, always, always, PROOF READ! Sometimes it takes two eyes to see your mistakes- if you need to- ask a friend to go over your post before you post it. There is nothing worse than stumbling upon a misspelled word while visiting a webpage. Not only does it puncture your credibility, but it also creates a sense that the publisher is careless. Google is very weary about this as well. Earning Google's trust is key to helping that content rank well in search results. 4.) Always add a caption to your pictures. Pay close attention to the context surrounding your pictures. Images can rank according to the texts that surrounds it. Always be creative and relevant when captioning your pictures. 5.) Use Pinterest. Pinterest is key in referral traffic. If you are managing a website and are always stuck on what to post, grab a pin that you have pinned to your company's Pinterest account and post it to your Facebook or Twitter. In addition, install the "Pin it" button to your internet explorer tool bar and pin everything on your page that is "pin worthy." To learn more visit: https://about.pinterest.com/en/goodies 6.) Fresh content improves SEO immensely. Create web page content on a regular basis. Fresh content adds relevancy to your site and to "google crawlers." 7.) Market your site accordingly. Add your webpage, facebook link, twitter link, pinterest link, etc to your signature in all of your emails. Stick your links on your monthly business calendar that you send out to your customers, email your calendar with hyperlinks to your websites. More clicks= higher search engine rankings!
