The University of Florida President sent out an email early Wednesday warning students of UF Campus Shooting threats made on Twitter. Along with this, the UFPD alerted students overnight to the threats made by more than a dozen Twitter users across the country, but said the credibility of the statements on social media is low.
Despite the threats, classes have not been cancelled. Many students are turning to social media for answers. One student tweeted "@earthforlife: I'm really surprised UF didn't cancel classes today. I don't care if the shooting threat is minor, I'm still scared to go to class." If you have any information on the UF shooting threat you are urged to call UFPD at (352)-392-1111.
